What cookies and browser storage do
Cookies are small pieces of information a website or service may store in your browser. This site also uses browser local storage to remember an advertising-preference choice. Some technology helps the website operate; other technology measures visits. This page explains the difference and points you to the available controls.
Technologies used on this website
| Category | Purpose | When it is used |
|---|---|---|
| Essential site operation | Deliver pages, receive inquiries, protect the site and remember technical preferences where needed. | When you use the website. Your browser may also store a local advertising-preference value under dirani-meta-ad-consent-v1; this is local storage, not a cookie. |
| Google Analytics | Understand website visits, devices and page use. Google Analytics may set first-party cookies including _ga. |
The Google Analytics tag currently loads on public website pages. The separate optional advertising choice does not turn it off. |
| Meta Pixel advertising measurement | Measure page visits related to Facebook and Instagram advertising. Meta may use browser identifiers such as _fbp or _fbc. |
Only when Meta Pixel is enabled and you accept optional advertising measurement. This includes /links/, but excludes the WordPress admin. |
| TikTok Pixel advertising measurement | Measure page visits related to TikTok advertising. TikTok may use browser identifiers such as _ttp. |
Only when TikTok Pixel is enabled and you accept optional advertising measurement. This includes /links/, but excludes the WordPress admin. |
Your choices
If optional advertising measurement is offered, the banner’s “Decline” and “Accept” buttons control the enabled Meta and TikTok Pixels together. An earlier accepted choice also applies to both when enabled. You can revisit that choice using “Change cookie choice” on this page. Declining means the site does not load either Pixel. Changing an earlier acceptance to a rejection reloads the page so previously loaded Pixel scripts no longer run on that page.
This advertising choice is separate from Google Analytics, which currently loads on public pages. You can block or clear cookies in your browser, although some site functions may be affected. Google also offers information about the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. We do not set a single duration for third-party cookies here because it may vary with provider and browser settings.
